This message board was created to give students and researchers the ability to ask and answer history questions they might have about Dayton. Questions will also be given to local historians and researchers who are willing to donate some time in helping find answers. Questions about genealogy are discouraged. It may take some time before a question can be answered. And, due to the nature of history, some questions may never be able to be answered. For this reason, we do not recommend using this forum as a quick means to get an answer to a homework assignment due the next day. We ask that all questions pertain to Dayton, Ohio history only. This board is not meant to answer questions about other states or countries. Due to limited space, questions of this nature will be deleted from the board.
That being said, this board is sure to bring up subjects that lovers of Dayton's history will enjoy discussing, and hopefully we will all learn something about this city's wonderful past.
